A CAMRA award winning 16th Century thatched pub open every day just outside of Salisbury. Whether you fancy having some classic pub food, one of our daily specials(soonish) or just enjoying a drink by the fireplace (not too long now); there is something for everybody. We have a large garden to the rear for when the weather (is Pandemic) is clement and a permanently covered patio area for when it isn't. Dogs are always welcome on leads as are children (always welcome, not the leads part!). Maggie, sons and staff welcome you to our little bit of (according to the CAMRA Good Beer Guide) "Quintessential England."
We're open again inside! Yay!
As you may know, it's still table service inside so please bear with us as we adjust yet again to the new rules. Our opening times are shown below but please take into account that if it is very quiet and the weather is miserable we might just close early in a futile effort to get more beauty sleep!
Our covered patio is again ready to welcome you as are our tables in the garden. You might notice it looks more open, the development at the back has opened it up somewhat!
Do take a look at our resident Green Man Baron. He was sponsored by Waitrose and designed by Sue Webber, come and see!
We do recommend booking as it is the only way to secure a table for sure but we will try and accomodate you if suddenly decide to drop in....Dogs are welcome even on the patio now provided they are kept on a lead - in line with the law please keep your pets close and your children closer still!
